We offer FFL transfer services, allowing customers to purchase firearms online and have them shipped to our location for convenient in-store pickup.

Simple steps to legally receive your transferred firearm.

1 Purchase

Purchase your firearm online.

2 Dealer Selection

Select Northshore Sports Club Lake Forest as your receiving dealer at checkout.

If our license is not already on file with the seller, please have them contact us at
info@northshoresportsclub.com

3 Shipping

The dealer ships your firearm to our location.

4 Paperwork

Once your firearm arrives, we will contact you to come into the store to complete ATF Form 4473 and the required background check. Please bring your Illinois FOID card and a valid state-issued ID.

5 Pick up

Once the background check is approved, the waiting period is finished, and the transfer fee has been paid the item is ready for pickup.

What documents are needed to process the transfer?

Please bring a valid Illinois FOID card and a state-issued ID.

Does my 72-hour waiting period start when I purchase the firearm or when I come in store to start the paperwork?

Your 72-hour waiting period begins at the time of purchase. A copy of the invoice is required to verify the purchase date.

How many firearms can I transfer at one time?

You may transfer as many firearms as you would like. There are no quantity restrictions, and the fee remains $75 per firearm.

Can I conduct a private, person-to-person transfer at your facility?

Yes, both parties must come into the store with a valid FOID card and state-issued ID to complete the required paperwork. The transfer fee is $75.

I see my package was delivered. When can I come in to start my paperwork?

Please wait for us to contact you, as your firearm may not yet be logged into our system.
